Making a Responding to Suggestion and Controlling the Discussion in a Meeting


Alfi  : Good morning everyone. It looks like eveyone’s here, so let’s get started. As scheduled we will discuss the sales results for the last three monts. First, I want to her the presentation from Miss Sella as the financial manager regarding the report on the sale of milk products in the last three months.
Sella : Thank you for the time. I will explain the sales report for the last three monts of the period of September, October, November. Sales in the past three months have continued to decline until 25% every month. This caused the company’s profits to also decline.
Alfi   : How can this happen? I want to hear an explanation from the marketing manager.
There      : The marketing team has been marketing products as munch as possible both online and offline. I will also explain the results of our team survey. Based on the results of a survey conducted, customers are getting bored with the teste of the milk product. So our products lose competitiveness with other company’s products.
Alfi  : It means we have to innovate in this milk product. What innovations will we do to increase sales? Does the marketing manager have an idea?
There        : To increase sales, I suggest we add new flavors, namely taro dan mocca flavor. We can make the packaging with pastel colour. People especially  adolescent will like it. And provide the first week of marketing promotions by buying two free one, and for the next will get a minimum 25% discount on purchases worth Rp 100.000
Alfi   : Thanks. Are the any other comments?
Sella   : Excuse me, how about the price of raw materials for the new product?
There     : I think the raw material for this product will not be expensive because the raw materials are taro flavor which is simple and can find in PT.X with low price. So we can still sell products at low prices.
Alfi   : Wow, I completely aggre Miss There. Well , we will take innovation from Miss There. What is the production team ready to make the product?
Rizka       : Ready. The production department will cooperate with PT.X. So the we can sell quality products at affordable prices.
Sella   : Oke the finance department will prepare a bugget for our new product.
Alfi  : Of course this is not only the responsibility of one division. All divisions must take part in the launch of this new product.
There        : I hope this new innovation can increase sales.
Alfi   : I think it looks like we’ve coveres the main on the agenda. So today the meeting is over. Thank you for the attention and cooperation of all teams.

TOEFL READING The first section you’ll have on the TOEFL iBT is the Reading section. As mentioned above, this section can vary in length. So if you don’t get any experimental questions, Reading will be 60 minutes long and contain 36-42 questions. You will have that opportunity in Section IV: Writing (or the Test of Written English™ [TWE®] if you take the paper-based exam).
